How to convert Opus to MP3

Opus is common in voice notes, web recordings, and app exports. MP3 is still the safer format when you need broad compatibility with players, editors, and upload forms.

  1. Open the Opus to MP3 converter.
  2. Select a .opus, .ogg, .oga, or WebM audio file.
  3. Choose an MP3 bitrate. 192 kbps is a good default for most files.
  4. Click convert, wait for the browser to finish, then download the MP3.

Best quality settings

For speech, 128 kbps is usually enough. For music or mixed audio, use 192 kbps or 256 kbps. Use 320 kbps only when compatibility matters more than file size.

Why browser-side conversion is useful

Audio files can contain private conversations, interviews, or work material. This site is static and runs the conversion locally, so your file does not need to leave your device.
